¿Who is Marc Trujillo?

Marc Trujillo is a Catalan illustrator trained at the Escola d’Arts Aplicats Llotja, Barcelona. After finishing his studies he decided to take time to travel the world in search of inspiration and experiences. He was in Europe and in part of Africa, where he gave workshops on the power of creativity to local children and worked as an art teacher in several schools.

From his initial portfolio, it became clear that Marc came from the old school, giving more importance to analogical illustration based on making sketches in his notebooks, experimenting techniques and giving much ink. His most used techniques were in ink, markers and acrylic paints that he sometimes combined digitally. His illustrations were very colorful and with rather warm ranges.

Throughout his short career, Marc has researched in other fields and styles and has applied new knowledge and guidance in his new works. He has also gone deeper into digital techniques, without losing his own stamp, but helping him to finish his final works better.

Marc has a very dreamlike childish style and it is very easy for him to create poetic worlds in which children are protagonists of adventures, dreams and imaginative situations.
He mixes textures in different planes, makes use of collage as a resource that gives richness to his illustrations and uses different styles in the same work letting go his imagination and creating worlds full of magic.
In two words, we could define his illustrations as Illustrated Dreams
